queue, so if more than one error has occurred, repeating this command will report the error codes
in the sequence they happened. The action of reading an error will clear that error, so once the
most recent error has been read, any more queries will report a code of zero. See Appendix A for a
more detailed description of the error codes that may be returned.
Syntax: SYSTem:ERRor:CODE?
Returns: <numeric error code>
Valid Modes: Any
SYSTem:LANGuage
Description: Set or return the remote interface language SCPI (SCPI compliant), or the emulation mode
language EMUL4500A. The instrument powers up in the state set by the Util > Remote Conf >
GPIB > Emulate4500A menu. Activating the 4500A language extension will enable the 4500B to
emulate the 4500A using its native language. SCPI and the 4500A emulation language are
incompatible. Use care when changing languages to avoid unexpected results. It is strongly
recommended that any language change command be placed on a separate line. If this is not
practical, it must be placed at the end of a line. DO NOT follow a language command with another
command on the same line!
Syntax: SYSTem:LANGuage <asc>
Argument: <asc> = {SCPI, EMUL4500A}
Valid Modes: Any
